Picked these up from the sweeney kincaid auction discussed at ultra-length, over here.
Got them home and they seem like decent buys.
The dividing head is an Elliot:
Turns out that flimsy piece of tinfoil held in with two screws is supposed to hold the oil in as removing it reveals...
A quick squirt with duck oil (only a temporary measure!) reveals that it turns as intended so I've dismantled it ready for a degrease, citric bath and re-oil & grease. Oh, and replace the approximately 50% of missing bolts.
Then onto the rotary table:
Weighs a ton!
This is a Jones Shipman and turns out to have been better maintained than the dividing head. Tons of healthy grease and everything move smoothly.
Still taken it apart for a clean and re-grease
