hi.
yesterday i just got argoshield ( c25 ) for my Lincoln pack 140.
i reversed polarity , put the proper wire etc.
it was working fine and couldnt answer why i didnt start to weld with gas before. stupid me !
today i try to finish welding my homemade bench vise. everything is ok for about 10 min.
i take a break , smoke a cigarette , go back to weld.. BOOM nothing work.
then i noticed if i turn the gas off i can weld properly ( look ugly tho ) but if i turn it on it won't stick to the metal. it make a huge ball on the wire but NOTHING on the metal to weld.
i can feel and hear the gas flowing out of the end of the gun.
tried different piece of metal , cleaned and not cleaned... with the gas off i can even weld on rusty metal.
you know the burn back thingy ? its similar to this but i can't get the wire to melt on the metal.
i tought the gas could be bad or contaminated but it was working fine 5 minutes before ???
i changed the tip and cleaned everything.
