unfortunately i have no idea cable size. Yes its encloseddo you know if the cable supplying shower is 6mm2 or 10mm2 and surface run or enclosed
I had one of those at a previous house and it was only 7kw so was never great. With a 32a breaker max cable will be 6mm and at worse 4mm. 6mm you’ll have some options for replacement but 4mm you’re best to replace with 10mm that will give you a much better choice. Obviously you’d need to change the breaker too for 10mm with a 45a
Its an old period property so im guessing its only the thinest stuff.
Even an 8.5 kw shower would do.

the old corvec britony gas water heater ( not boiler ) could run a shower and with a few adjustments you could get a decent warm to hot shower on user prefsCan you change to something gas fired if upgrading the electrics is out ?
