Im going to give this a go , I really cant stand the guy that presents it mind
From the trailer it looks just like that really low budget ,scrapheap challenge rip off that was on some obscure sky channel years ago ( 10 or more )
The female presenter was really quite fit from what i remember tho

First one is something about truck concrete mixers ,which i used to build , so should be of interest to me if i can tollerate that annoying twot off the gadget show, for an hour

I'm going to watch it but I agree about the host. A friend of mine was on Scrapheap Challenge. He said it was great fun. They get a lot more time than you see on the show and a lot of help if required. Wouldn't be much of a show if one team doesn't complete their contraption.

Hmmm, not a show I will go out of my way to watch again.

I don't know what the red team were thinking with an unsupported prop shaft that long. And the blue team using an aircooled engine in a boat was not the brightest idea either.

Well that wasnt too painfull
funnily enough those mixers were the exact same as i used to build , hymix on a Foden chassis . Literally hundreds of that combination must of gone out ,mostly to Tilcon and tarmac .
That model foden were the last with the fibreglass cabs ok geek mode off .

The producers seem to be stuck in the belief that these shows only work with over-enthusiastic presenters and lots of hard rock/dubstep music. I'd like to see it toned down a bit and perhaps spend some time explaining about tools and techniques. Not sure if that would appeal to the general public though. Most science/technology programs are so dumbed down it's painful to watch. No wonder kids want to be celebs instead of engineers.

I caught te last ten minutes and worked out the whole show wasn't to be set on series link

I hate it when they spend more time raising there voice then actually doing the job

I watched the last 15 minutes 5 of which were adverts so I'll not be bothering.

It was ok but to dumbed down. Real shame as H is a brilliant engineer

Yep, disappointing, very little focus on the work done, they never even really showed the impellor, the best bit of engineering done! I'll only be watching that again if I'm very bored!
