New noise

hi guys, I usually run 75/25 from BOC but I got tired off the yearly rental so I picked up a 20ltr bottle from Sc motor factors (SGS brand)
I started using it this morning and whilst welding the regulator gives off a high pitch noise, soon as I stop the noise stops. I never had an issue with this reg on the BOC cylinder. The only difference I see is BOC is vertical take off and sgs is horizontal take off, that shouldn’t make a difference should it ???

Also does anyone know if sgs do different ratios of argon mix or is it only the pic attached ?

I get that whistle at times with my BC Nevoc pure Argon and have had it with all other brands as well so it doesn't seem to be brand specific.

Yes you can get 15%, I have that even though I have moved to BOC for the Argon. Reason I stuck with SGS for that is I hardly ever Mig steel so paying a rental for a cylinder that so far has been unused for a year would be crazy.

Hmmmm, sc car parts told me they only do 5% ?

They also told me they only did 20 litre bottles as well so they are telling porkies. They said sgs don’t do any larger sizes.
I think I will drop sgs an email and see who else is a supplier darn sarf (down south to the posh folks)

I think they now may also do 30l 300bar cylinders, I am sure I heard someone say that recently.
