just bought a giant 130 mig and the poxy thing has a live tourch, it does not tell you this when you buy the heap of ****, sorry if my spelling is poor i cant see to good at the moment

They certainly ain't the best but. You should read through some giant and wolf related threads to realise your not alone. The welding machine game is one of those very rare exceptions where you really do get what you pay for. Up to £150 for a new mig is a total waste of money and if your on a budget you'll be worse off buying stuff like that. £150-£300 will buying something more reasonable and give better adjustment on the voltage steps. £300-£500. More robust and higher capacity in the form of a transformer but in this budget range you also have options of lower end brand inverters. And you can keep going up in cash and quality levels. The EWMpico mig 180 is probably the best single phase mig around in its amperage range but at £1500-1800 new you'll pay for that quality. But only once mind.

Ah well, see, your first post should have read thinking of buying a Giant 130 MIG, what do you blokes reckon? we would have done the swear words for you before you bought it .
Welcome aboard, somebody might be along soon to advise you on some dodges to make your kit better, or you might find something in the related threads.
You will probably learn to work around its foibles, until you can get a better set so don't get too hacked off.
