hello all, so the boss is looking to get a new welder to use up some money and save on his tax bill. We are starting to do more CE work and the welder I'm using just has a calibration box strapped to the top, works fine but that going to be passed down to a guy not on CE jobs and I'm going to get a synergic welder to make it easier to check amps/volts. The boss wants a kemppi as we get on well with those so just wondering what people think would be best? I have been looking at the fastmig 500amp sets, does anyone have any experience with these or if you can think of better options I'm open to all suggestions, don't really want to go over £7K all in. Cheers!

How many are you after? For a one off, 501 you'd be looking at around 4,785.00 but there are always deals to be done, what prices have you had so far?

We've just ordered a 500amp FastMig M synergic package today, came to £3800 + VAT. Looked at the 450 pulse but felt we don't really need it and it would be an extra £2K. Cheers anyway.

I've just sold a Taurus Synergic to a guy that came out of the Naval base in Portsmouth and two weeks ago he was convinced there was nothing on earth to touch a Kemppi, ok that's about all they have in the docks but after a two week trial he came back and said "that ****** all over Kemppi mate"
Nuff said as far as I was concerned. It pays to try a few sets rather than always pushing for the cheapest price on the same brand over and over.

I agree about trying different sets, if it was me personally I would, buts that the way the boss wanted to go. Just thought I would ask on hear what they are like.
Can I ask in what way the guy thought the Taurus was better? Cheers.

He didn't expand on his statement but I think ease of use and arc quality were what made it stand out for him.
