Greets to all~
Great forum - thought i'd join. Learn and share if poss. Terrific tutorials BTW!
I'm interested in; mechanics, carpentry, building, textiles, computers, business, plastics etc. Anything in fact - if it's out there i want it!
Dad let me do arc welding, solo, at the age of eight and smoke fags! Got arc eyes three times in one month (social services were a nightmare). Wrong goggles - I didn't know! He's a great guy and we're very close.
Bought my first plasma cutter at 18 (Snap-On). As far as my welding goes (amongst other jobs); re-tailored the floor pan and chassis on one of my mk1 Escorts to accept a 3.0L GT v6, different axle set-up etc. The other Escort was a full rally spec RS2000 with seem welded chassis etc. Done some stainless and ally (cough) jobs too.
20 years later; I've quietened down a lot, although my interests have grown, I'm looking to get back into it. I think there may be some new projects lurking in the back of my mind.
Except i find that the Sealey SuperMIG, rusting in the garage, is only fit for the bin.
