It's grubby, looks crap next to the LV.
So just a check over, Convert Y axis to ball screw, and cut a door in the base, for storage and fit sound deadening material. I don't think it needs any resurfacing done, the X axis has been hand scraped in, and shows in the smooth travel. A cote'o'paint, and it will be a great machine,
Pups doing fine thanks, feisty little monkey. But will sit, and sit in front of a treat until told she can have it, and is house trained. Just have her second bath, and smells lovely. She also spends every waking moment trying to pull anything off whatever she can reach.

I use Castrol Cooledge B1 in all my machines here. It's mixed with water. Comes in 20 litre drums from Castrol, which makes a mahoosive amount of coolant when mixed down.
Some model engineering suppliers sell it in smaller quantities, which might suit you better if you only have the one machine on coolant.
BTW nice looking machine you have there.
