Banks do issue debit cards to children, IIRC ours were 14 when they got them.

Most work sites that people have things delivered to will not be caught under the new rules as they are not purely residential

No you cant just go in and buy them and walk out without checks being done, the person on the till or the flashing light on the self service tills bringing over an assistant are all a checks and one check thing they do is age related.

Why not leave it all as is and just come down like a ton of bricks with very long sentences for anyone carrying a blade or corrosive liquid for a non work or genuine leisure related activity? Or would that just be far to simple to implement.

The acid thing has already occurred as you can no longer purchase batteries with acid fill packs.

That must be recent, I bought a bike battery a couple of weeks ago and it was delivered with an acid pack.

The shooting lads on another forum are up in arms, they are banning .50bmg rifles at the same time. There has never been a crime committed with a .50 in the UK. They are also getting rid of lever release rifles too, again i do not think there has ever been a crime committed with one of these either. The thing about criminals is, well they do not obey laws, thats why they are called criminals. In a lot of ways it makes passing laws like this pointless.

As for the knife ban, its daft, how many people have been stabbed with screwdrivers, scribers, all sorts of garden tools, builders tools etc etc. Pointless.

If they are 12 then no they will not. If they are 18 or over, the supplier should check they are over 18 and the courier should also check the person they are handing it over to are over 18, so in reality it will make no difference to the person unless they previously had things delivered to a parcel locker

They certainly can read, we did a lot of writing to MPs back in the early 90's that is why you can still buy a motorbike with over 100 BHP and it does not have to be fitted with leg protectors.
