New inverter stick welder sorry again :)

Guys, still looking for a new inverter welder .
it has been suggested thermal arc 175 would do me ,

my list is the
thermalarc175 - £190+v
jasic 180 or 200 £300+v
gys 200 fv £300+v

any recommendations, thermal arc cheapest, jasic 5 yr warrant apparently, gys seem to get mixed reviews. welding store near me stopped selling as they said they weren't for professional use as much as thermal arc,

For farm use the Thermal Arc will do you just fine but I completely disagree with what your local has said. GYS would blow the quality of the Thermal Arc out of the water with professional use.

see im guilty of trying to buy once buy right. the gys is 200 with high duty cycle yet reputable shop has said they are more hobby use. I would have equated thermalarc to this and not gys as I have seen them in garages for spot welding etc.
just looking to buy the right one and reasonable price that will last for long time

I would guess the welding suppliers views are genuine but outdated
Not long ago a japanese made thermal arc would have been better than the chinese gys
the roles have been reversed now

Duty Cycles on the GYS are nothing to shout about, also fitted with 16-25mm Dinse sockets & 16mm cables; toy-town for a 200amp set.
More features on the GYS like Flexible Voltage (FV) but do you need to run from 110v tool transformers on a farm?

local store sells thermalarc so back up may be better than online

If you've got the local that sells the Thermal Arc i'd go for that, it'll do everything you need it to. I wouldn't be paying more than £200 ex VAT for it though, with leads and case.

quick follow up @Tom Orrow L . Chatted to local store, thermal arc 175 se 235+V, I asked about genny friendly and apparently this inst, that changes things back to the gys200 or the jasic180? what inverters are fit to be run on a 6/7kva genny if needed

If you don't need to run anything bigger than a 3.25mm most if not all inverters will be fine off that size generator. If however you need to max out the set on a 4mm you'll need to be on an 8kva generator really. The other option is a welder generator. More money, but very useful on a farm.
