New Gutters & Soffits

Any roof lads on hear.
I have a x council hipped semi .
The gutters and fanciers are well past there best .
I am wanting to replace with PVC.
What is a ballpark figure to do the job .
I realise scaffolding will be needed .
I had the roof replaced 5 years ago , should have done them then .

How long is a piece of string, if they are knackered timber fascias and soffits then good chance the rafter ends aren't much better.

Could be 3 days to a 9 days.

it depends on who is your local plastic supplier place

you can get thin fascia board that goes over a wood board under it

or you can buy a fascia board that is 3/4" thick in a view of a long angle iron 1"-1 1/2" x 6 "- 8"-12" as they are different sizes in fascia boards in widths

the thicker one means no wood board underneath

they also come in 5 lengths but you can transport them on a set of long ladders just drive slow with them and strap them well down

gutters is your choice you have round square or fancy shaped all with different prices but square allows better channerling of more water to the gully round has a smaller area to transport water to the gully
fancy are a pain to find in years to come after and colours discolour for fun

then you have your colours to pick but prices vary between suppliers

there is also a 3mm thick fascia board

you can fit these with 2 sets of ladders

customer reference here many prefer hidden nails but plastic caped screws are just as good but they are seen

i hate poly top nails they bend for fun

About what I paid at the old house

I had to go to a site on the day, came home and they were just going over the old. I politely challenged them to be told that was the job

Produced my written quote with strip old clearly on it, so gave them the choice of starting again or I would ask the office to adjust my price

To be fair, they did a decent job in the end, I think they saw an opportunity and took it, but me returning put a spanner in the works
