I use Wylex, not sure if everything you need is supported, however, whatever you do, fit one bigger than you think you'll ever need!
He reckons he taken it from around 20% to 85% overnight. Plugs it in when he gets back from work, leaves it until he goes out next day. No idea how much it costs compared to a dedicated charger on some special rate though.
Yes, I'm putting in a new SWA cable and a bit of string in a conduit for future use. I'm hoping it'll never be needed.
I can understand that sentiment, however the few Ive driven I have quite enjoyed the drive, but you need the tunes up,loud as there is no brum brum noise.
I'm sure they are great to drive, it's just the "crap to refuel" bit I don't like.

You can get "upgraded" 13A sockets designed for using the granny charger on a regular basis. Standard sockets, especially cheap modern ones, are not really up to the job. Don't think they are very expensive either. Although personally I'd stick it on a commando.
I did tell him to put his hand in the socket, and the cable leading to it, just to see if it got a bit warm after an hour or so. He reckons it was stone cold. It’s out in the garage, and the car lives outside.
