The drill has a 13mm capacity in steel ,it slips on anything bigger then 6 mm,the Chuck hasn't got the hard teeth that my other dewalt Jacobs Chuck has so can't grip the bits securely and they slip randomly even when not breaking throughIf it slips you are not able to get enough tension on the bit with the chuck? Or you are over its capacity - it takes a fair amount of power to get through any thing over 1/4 " steel with a drill over 8 mm I should realy be on a sds set to drill with a 13 mm chuck fitted

IIRC, when my Bosch green drill was new the chuck slipped but it seems to be alright now. It also loosens itself a tad every time you stop drilling, after 5 or 10 holes the bit just falls outThe drill has a 13mm capacity in steel ,it slips on anything bigger then 6 mm,the Chuck hasn't got the hard teeth that my other dewalt Jacobs Chuck has so can't grip the bits securely and they slip randomly even when not breaking through
