New compact MIG - Kemppi or Migatronic...or?

Hi folks!
I need to get a myself a new mig. I currently have a Telwin 180/2 turbo, but it doesnt work very good.
So i have been looking at a Kemppi minarcmig 170 evo, and also the Migatronic Rallymig 161i.
Might even consider a Kemppi minarcmig 200, but it costs a bit more.

Problem is i cant find any good reviews of them... So wich one do i choose? Or do you recomend another brand?
Im looking for a good quality machine that will last for many years.
It will be used for fabrication and repairs on my cars and bikes.

We have a Evo 200 and it's a cracking little machine plenty of power easy to use can't fault it really and all from a 13 amp plug. It will blow the odd fuse if it's cranked to the max and long runs are laid for a long time but it can easily be managed.
We've ran it on long extensions on site with no noticible drop in power. They are a bit pricey though.

Thanks Jrstainless! I know they are a little bit pricey, but i better pay a few bucks more and have a good machine for many years.
Have you tried welding alu and SS with it? The difference between the 170 and 200 is about £300 here in Norway, guess its worth spending those extra money to get the extra functions on the 200?

I've done stainless no problems at all. I can't comment on the 170 as never used one.

I'd avoid MIGatronic, seen plenty of them knocking about factories because they've gone wrong & they're too expensive to fix.
if you're set between either the Migatronic or the Kemppi then my vote is Kemppi all the way. You seen the Oerlikon CitoMIG 200?

Changed the liner and wire. It worked well but only goes up to a thickness of around 2.5mm on auto settings.

Never heard of Oerlikon. Tried to search them up, but could only find a Scandinavian dealer as the closest, but not much info on their website.

Changed the liner and wire. It worked well but only goes up to a thickness of around 2.5mm on auto settings.

So i have a follow up question for that - is it hard to change the liner?
As i can see there is no euro connection on these machines.
2.5mm alu is fine for small jobs (at least for my kind of use), and its nice to have that option

Ahh, A fair distance from yourself then. Are welding supplies still mega expensive over your way?

It's pretty straight forward.......remove one 10mm nut that holds the liner in and remove the feed roller with an allen key.

Yeah, so i would prefer finding a machine in Norway. Not mega expensive compared to other european countries... you just have to search for the good deals
