Soooooo they time has ( already ) come ..
Ladies and gents , with my huge pleasure and we can definetely declare the END of a (almost ) nightmare ..
We sold ( aaah , it feels so sweeeet .. ) our swiftcut machine and moved to another brand machine .
But let's start from the beginning .
We purchased years ago a SwiftCut plasma table 1,5*3 meters , and I have to say that it made a big difference , I mean going from outsourcing 100% of cutted materials to keep 90% of it inhouse , with an effective investment , compared to other big brands .
BUT , there is a big 'but' , there must be a reason if SwiftCut tables cost way more than other ones .
From the beginning we realized a certain amount of problems ( involving software , PLC , nesting , motors ) which cannot be solved without spending 20.000/30.000 euros for a deep retrofit .
And of course the dealer never mentioned them ....... surprise !!
For sure you cannot expect a machine which can perform like a professional one , with that price , that's true .
But at least I pretend to have a reliable machine .
'Reliability' I believe is an unknown word at SwiftCut , because 6 times on 10 a problem was popping out while cutting , dealer tried to solve them without any positive result ( and very poor customer service ) .
Multiple times I have been so close to turn on my oxy fuel torch and cut the machine in pieces , then throw it out of the shop .
So be awared before buying one of those machines , price looks very attractive but consider also the they have a lot of problems .
Months after months reliability and cut quality went drammatically down , till a point of non return .
So we decided to sell it ( never knew where it did go ) and buy a real professional plasma table .
We bought the machine from one of the historical european brands ( I'm not going to tell the name ) , we payed 3 times the price of the swiftcut for the new toy , and waited almost a year for it .
Now it's here , and it's like a dream .
Never had problems .
Never had a single crash .
Great software for cnc and nesting .
Great customer service .
Strong like a bull structure .
Reliable .
Fast .
To Recover interrupted cuts is easy like to eat an ice cream ( 99% of times it happens because we forget to turn on the compressor ) .
Awesome cutting quality ( hypertherm)
WE LOVE IT .
So , dear SwiftCut , your road to a good selling product is so long , way too long .
Do not claim things that are not true : reading their website they say '.. N° 1 plasma table manufacturer .. ' or ' ..easy and reliable machines .. ' , be fair and admit that your machines are a mix between a hobbyst and a semi-professional machine , customer must know what he is going to buy .
Never ever going to buy a machine from them in the future .
Aaaah , it feels so good
Cheers
