Hi All, Got my first shot of my new welding equipment today. Did a few things that were needing repaired. Everything went like a dream I wish to thank "Weldequip" whom supplied all my equipment and gave me excellent advice. Gosh, I look good in this helmet!

Blimey - first try and everything worked OK! You must have been born with the knack. Took the rest of us some fiddling around to get there.

Don't know if it was just me, but I didn't find the Haynes Welding Manual very helpful at all.

Seemed to be more interested in the history of welding than actually teaching me anything. All the info that was in it seemed to be here, plus loads more to be honest. Now either the book was crap, or this site is fantastic?
