Was you stood the wrong side of a goldfish bowl when you took them??

it's very difficult to judge pics when they're not very good quality. take some better ones and post them .

i did say sorry for the photos!!!!!

camera phones are strange, close up they are crap but long distance stuff they are fine!!!!

not got a digital camera to hand, it's at work hense taking them on the phone, just a general idea


i did a few runs where it was on it's side to see what would happen, also i find it hard to weld when i've got nothing to lean on.

going to play with some thin stuff tomorrow

take the photos from a distance you know is ok then crop and resize them with photoshop or whatever else you use

Use both hands one on the torch (obviously) but the other on the back of the torch neck steadying it... if you try & do it one handed you'll be all over the place (as your girlfriend might have mentioned ).

got one of them rtbcomp, finding it abit hard a si look up and it reacts to the bright lights in the garage!!!!!

makes life so much easier though, gotta be best buy

You're probably too close for the lens on your camera phone to focus. Either use the macro mode if there is one (the icon usually looks like a tulip) or stand further away and crop (make sure you use the biggest picture size for best results). If there's not enough light, or you're too far away for the flash (if any) to work, you'll get grainyness.

You can also get little lenses that stick over the lens on your phone for close-up and wide-angle work for about £10-15. Apparently they work well.

I use both hands: one on the work, usually make a fist then rest the torch hand on it. Gets rid of the shakes.
