Great idea. You will quickly discover having a set or sets of drawers will also be very handy.

this reminds me, i must liberate the stand off my band saw to house my printer
Showed my wife this just now (we're awaiting an elegoo carbon printer, intend making a box section stand for it) it's going in the corner of our living room. Mrs comments were "it's not very pretty, could we put a cupboard around it?"
As if our front room is the tidyest place in the world....

The stand looks good, but these things are a bit top heavy - the XY rails are at the top and move rapidly. Castors might see it wheeling itself accross your room, if it doesnt throw itself off tbe bench! Sadly mine doesnt appear any way to bolt it down.
Add a shelf or draws to the bench and get more weight in it.
One idea is if you used sheet to make sides and a door, add a high temp fan, it could be a good filament drier oven/storage.

I've started making my stand from 25mm light box section. I had wondered if placing it on the carpet might not be ideal - perhaps the levelling might wander over time, or even as the head moves around? So I'm toying with staying it to two of the back walls to anchor it firmly - is this overkill?
A drawer and sliding out shelf is on the cards for mine, with riveted on sides to stiffen it up.

Typical fix would be spikes on the feet. Won't harm the carpet at all.

The stand weighs a fair bit has a 10mm thick top on it lol.
But you are right about the castors in a way.
I went through the setup today and there is a lot of movement.
I’m goin to make up some adjustable feet, as said probably with spikes and get it perfect to level. It’s a concrete floor (rubber or carpet tile one day)
I have a heated bambu ams on the way also.
I will be making a cupboard of sorts out of it going forward for near storage of consumables etc

The more sturdy the stand is, the better, but I personally wouldn't affix it to the wall. As you say, overkill.
Spikes? Why, I'm not planning on wheels, just adjustable feet..
