My old arcos Lincoln minimum has just packed up. I will fix it and keep it as a spare, but looking to buy a new one around 180 amps. I normally weld 5mm steel plate, and put around 60kgs a year through my machine. So far I'm torn between the R-tech and the Parweld, but the Parweld only takes 5kg rolls. I have a feeling the R-tech will be smoother but I worry about the inverter packing up and being expensive to fix once the warranty is expired, as well as paying more for wire. Anyone have any thoughts? Just to confuse things even more , I've just seen an swp red line machine a bit cheaper, but it only has four power settings. I'm temporarily running off a 13 amp socket and I suspect the third power setting wouldn't be enough , but that it wouldn't run the fourth. My brain hurts!
