Bent sideways perhaps reversing against something. The stabiliser would stop the attached bit moving.I've seen it a couple times before.
Usually as the result of a combination of some implement that jams on the arms and stabilisers not set to prevent it swinging sideways.
They'll often hold up for a while afterwards before finally separating.
Typical farm usage/abuse.The other side was distorted badly as well they had a mower on at the time top link broke
They had arm fully out when it broke, mower was to big for machine as well as driving into tree
No it's a good 6" down from the welded on hook.You used to be able to buy just the end like that as a replacement to weld on if the ‘hook’ was worn. Maybe it broke at a previous weld?
with out acloser look but is it crystaline ? as in bad casting , either way you can buy new ends complete to weld on.
