Using phosphoric acid minimally diluted with water for the removal of rust (pitted steel). It appears to work pretty well if left overnight...the problem arises when it comes to removing it.
I was advised to use clean water with the addition of baking soda. I've scrubbed the steel with the diluted baking soda but when it comes to rinsing it off, the damn stuff won't leave!!
I should imagine I've probably mixed in too much baking soda. The question is how much should I use to the volume of water? Obviously I want it to be effective in neutralizing the phosphoric acid but being a little easier to rinse off would be nice!
