After around 5 years of abuse my £9.99 Netto angle grinder has broke. Still electrically sound but the spindle lock snapped so not possible to undo the nut and therefore it's gone in the bin.
Not bad for a cheap piece of Chinese rubbish which I expected to die within the warrantee period. I've got several angle grinders so have them set up for cutting, grinding, sanding and wire bush. The wire brush is on a Bosch that I paid £80+ for and has the same problem as the £9.99 Netto item with spindle lock button missing.
Just ordered a Makita as a replacement because no £9.99 grinders on offer at supermarkets at present
I bought a new Makita before and lent it to somebody who never returned it (nor can I remember who it was). I paid more before than the new one I've just bought ! Not often that something gets cheaper.

I hate soft start, I dont like having to wait to do a quick touch grind and keep wanting to grind before its up to speed because it takes longer to get up to speed than to do the grind and curse every time!!,
