My 1911 cyclecar has Morgan type sliding pillar front suspension, I need to make new uprights as one has rotted and the other is missing in action ! I was initially thinking of using hydraulic ram rod, decent material, good finish and generally hard chrome plated but I need tube rather than solid rod, 1 1/8" but could probably / maybe go up to 30mm, 450mm long give a bit to work with, any suggestions, remember I am a tight bugger! just had a thought! anyone got any 1 1/8" fork legs? it is good to talk, I may have solved my own problem! what bikes used 1 1/8" tubes? Matchless WD Stanchions are hard to come by.
