Agreed. You need to be about 3 years ahead for wood. We started from scratch again here and needed to buy in for the first year then we were able to start planning for 2 and 3. I do work for a landscaper / tree surgeon so its not so bad.True, but next year he will be glad he still has some dry long logs.
Going forward he needs to decide if they will have two stacks or just make short logs that fit in both fires.
10T sounds a lot but we use about that in one hard winter & rest of year.
They need to start processing logs now for next year & the year after.
All the time spent on re cutting could be better spent on planning ahead.
