I have a motorcycle stator source coil that needs attention, anyone know of a company that can do this in East Yorkshire area?.
Cheers
It's just as easy to sent by courier / post and return so don't limit yourself to just local companies. Doubt any will do the job "while you wait" so another couple of days in the post won't make much difference.
Unless a rare item it might be just as easy, and possibly cheaper, to get a known good secondhand item.

Does it fail the resistance specs in the manual for your bike? That will tell you all you need to know about if its ok to use or not, as if its shorting between turns internally where you can't see and slightly shorter as a result that will show in as a lowered resistance. total equipment cost a cheap digital multimeter and the spec's out the manual.
I'd guess this as being from a older yamaha? reasoning they had seperate source coils in the casting, whereas modern externally excited alternators have everything built into a single unit you replace as a lump.
