I have this Airco feeder working great . Only one problem.

The feed roller is only for 0.9 and 1.1mm (0.035 / 0.045") wire. I really would like to use 0.8mm and possibly 0.6mm (current 400A torch is 0.035-0.045 but should be getting a smaller one this week.) It has a Tweco connection, so I have lots of options here.

Basically, I need a 1/2" thick, 1 3/8 roller with a 3/8" hole drilled in center and 2 V-grooves cut. There is a woodruff key slot, but i can use a set screw if easier.

Probably would take longer to set up the late than actually do the work. I should be getting some 1-3/8" bar stock coming in by next week.

I will pay for time and shipping. I have a drawing with details. Prefer someone in the US to save shipping. Since there is no source for rollers on this 30+ year old feeder, I'm willing to pay a reasonable price. Checked the online places and they seem to not do simple projects.

Just finishing up a cart for the wire feeder:

Just cut another shelf and maybe make a torch holder.

I have a 25' power and control cables to welder, still need to make a long gas line. With the 15' torch I can reach 40' from welder

Cart is made from 1.5" x 1.5" x 0.125" L-steel and 0.75"/14GA square tube.

Funny, built cart using Clarke 130EN. It can barely do 100% penetration on the 1/8" steel. The last time I used this feeder I was blowing holes in 3/16" steel as I had to use 0.9mm wire. Now should have MIG setup good for 5-300 amps

Would like to get a second torch, smaller maybe 180A. This 400A Tweco beast is about 16" long and weighs a ton with all that 2/0 cable hanging off it.

Received the roller today. Thanks again.

Found out the Woodruff key is rusted in the slot. Rather than spend an hour trying to work it loose without f'ing up the shaft, I decided to modify the roller.

I used a jig saw and cut the slot in the roller for the key. A bit sloppy, but worked. It feeds real smooth even with the 15' torch.

Tried some welds and it works ok. Still need to add some electronics to the airco to do CV welding instead of CC. As is spits when starting and is very sensitive to torch gap to work. But does nice beads when done right.
