Need help about the differences between NBC and MIG

Dear friends,
I came here by accident and found that the fornum is very popular. I am a sales representative of welders. Can anyone tell me the difference between Nbc and MIG.
In China, we call NBC as CO2 shielding welder. and I wonder if English native speaker do mean NBC in this way!!!

On this forum have seen:

MIG - argon mix gas used. Term is often used regardless of gas and sometimes even gasless.
MAG - CO2 gas used

Have never seen NBC used.

Hello,

I have never heard the Mig process described as NBC. But NBC (Norman Butters Company) was a prolific manufacturer of Mig units during the 70's and 80's.

In the UK Mig/Mag (Metal Inert Gas or Metal Active Gas) is most commonly refered to as Mig welding or Co2 welding, but Co2 referers to a time when a 100% Co2 shielding gas was most commonly used. This is no longer the case and hasn't been for about 20 years or more but the process is still refered to as this by older generation welders
