Need a new printer that will take cheap aftermarket ink

I've given up on cheap ink after having 3 Epson's fail due to clogged print heads. I now have a Kodak scanner / photo printer for colour which I only use genuine inks and for bulk of printing use a Brother mono laser which happily uses cheapest eBay toner.

The main reason Epson fail is lack of use. Use them daily no probs.

I have an HP A3 printer, it doesn't like aftermarket cartridges - I'm sure I read somewhere that HP pressurise their cartridges and the 're-fillers' can't replicate that.

I reckon that was problem with mine whereas the laser doesn't seem bothered if it's onl;y used occasionally.

Best bargain I ever had was a Dell colour laser brand new from my local Tesco. £25!!!
Yes really!
I wasn't sure if it would take aftermarket toners but it did. I would have bought the lot if I had known that!
Also picked up a Samsung printer scanner from Tesco - £15!
Never seen prices like that since though - this was about 3 years ago.

The problem there is sooner or later you aren't going to use it for a week, unless you never take holidays and are addicted to printing. Or the other problem is when they drag air in and you spend and entire cartridge trying to clear the problem but it never works. Which is actually the reason why the printers always say the cartridges are empty before they are to avoid dragging air.

Brother in my experience are the worst for blocked/dried printer heads and I hated the software.

HP never really had a problem with blocked/dried printer heads software usually ok other than the 'buy hp' pop ups for paper and ink.

Mrs Robo bought me a Lexmark scanner/printer about 10 years ago, it died after 5-6 years so I bought another which is still going OK.

lazer printer black are cheap ones most you can get you can get copy carts for just before buying cheak ebay for the cheap carts

i wont go back to ink printers i use the printer very inofften when ever i needed it the ink was dry

if you need a scanner just buy a seprate one
