Need a bearing

Stupidly I didn’t take pictures of what I took off because it was greasy and rusty as hell, and I had to burn off the studs holding the castors.

These castors are to an EPCO 5T trolley jack.

they had like a pressed plate forming a groove, then loose balls of around 8mm diameter, then another pressed plate with a groove.

I’ve tried J&M Belts and bearings with no joy.

Needs to be a thrust bearing and obviously I can turn any adaptor or bush to suit.

any help?

I had a look on the simply bearings site and they don’t seem to have anything like what it used to have And all the thrust bearings start at 19mm deep/thick.

@Brad93 not that local to you but probably worth giving the girls at Marksman Industrial in Aldershot a ring: 01252 345455.

I popped around to then when I lived local to source a bearing for an air con pump. I'd ordered a few different ones that were meant to be the same but not. Eventually found out that the bearing I wanted was OEM supply only (I.e. they'd only sell to Denso). Popped in on a recommendation from Magor Fasteners and knock me sideways they actually had two of them in stock. Wasn't cheap at £35 for something roughly an inch by an inch but crucially it was sealed because this one gets dunked in water / mud often.

No I am going to email the companies above but haven’t got round to it.

I’ll probably end up with a needle bearing with a bigger ID and smaller OD. Make up the rest with bushes.

I had some odd sized bearings a while back fro a local place after i had tried quite a few online companies, maybe worth a call or email if you get stuck.

I got in touch with Simply bearings today and it wasn’t something they could help with. A needle roller bearing requiring a top hat is the only solution.

that would work, but finding the right dimensions is hard. I can only find them for bike headsets and bottom brackets.

I think this SKF is gonna be the nearest thing.
