Why 80's? What do you class as a thriller?

Dune, blade runner etc have been mentioned.

Tron has not.

Santa Sangre is almost certainly not what you are looking for, but comes in at 1989 and is, possibly, coming up more frequently now with constant mentions of Jodorowsky's "never to be" Dune.

Stanley Donan's Saturn 3 (1980) is another classic of the era.

I was born in 80s. I guess 80s and 90s films are what I enjoy the most. There was a time when films were just...... better.

(aside: I was foolishly front-row at a standup comedy gig few years ago, wearing a "Rocky" T-shirt. Comedian asked me "is that your favourite film?" and, like a tit, I said no. "What is, then?" he asked, to which I responded "Top Gun"... The next five minutes weren't my best ever...)

The film release date for this film was 18th January 2008, but I can understand where you are coming from. The guy with the shooter played a good weirdo

Das Boot, what a great film, always had a soft spot for films about subs. Run Silent, Run Deep a particular favourite. Sorry I've digressed from the original thread. I'ii wind me neck in and disappear!

Ah you missed out on so much then! The 70s was THE decade. Who can forget Timmy Lee and his exploits? Used to thrill me at the time.
