How much is it to go John?

Thought about going to the Motorcycle Show, But the NEC seem to be getting greedy with car parking charges!

I used to go on Fridays, Press Day as there were less crowds and it was a bit cheaper. Other way round now!

Last time I went used the train cheaper than parking in the NEC Same thing as Wallace I went on press day and did not avoid the crowds. Sorry John decided to give it a miss this year.

It's £27.50 to get in, then £17.50 to park, makes it an expensive day before you start.
Although having said that,I have just begun the restoration of my morris minor so I will go along and try find some tools and stuff.
    See you Sunday.

Exactly my feeling. I went to the caravan & camper exhibition at the NEC recently, parking was free, entrance about £8 I think, don’t know exactly, my wife paid. I’d love to go to the Classic Car show, but 2 people, parking & fuel then something to eat, you’re looking at close on a £100 day out. Sod that! Why the difference in cost?

  13. I stopped attending once the ticket got to £18 and parking £10. They are in great danger of slaying the goose, but unfortunately people will still pay these extortionate prices and so nothing changes.

Went to a local hot rod show In August and same thing, £100 notes gone in seconds was great though

The Classic Car Show is quite a glitzy show and loads to see. Loads of tool stalls as well. There are plenty of things that you can't even get near and some seriously expensive cars for sale. I had my Series 2a Cherry Picker on the Series2 Club stand a couple of years back. Food isn't too bad at the NEC these days as they have a Subway and Weatherspoons in the foyer. It's ok if you treat it as a day out because by the time you've parked, paid to get in,had lunch you'll do £60. One of my kids comes under adult now and the younger one is bigger so they probably wouldn't believe me.

    I prefer The Restoration Show

The weird thing is if you go to The Shooting Show at the NEC the parking is free.
