What do you intend to use it for? Lightweight metal fabrication? Heavy metal work? Give some idea of maximum and minimum metal thicknesses you will be working on, to start with.
I think we're going to struggle with this one due to your location. We've no idea what brands are available at what prices over there, let alone where to suggest you buy one from.
Unfortunately, as far as I know we don't have any other members from Zambia to ask either.
Size-wise, something from 30-200 amps would be good if you can find one but you[ll probably find that most machines that go up to 200A start at around 40A so will make them very difficult to use on 0.6mm steel.
yep i was also thinking that mm4 would be soutable as max. refering to my location i know i have to import my question there is are there eany dealers in SA or should i go for something from UK

Do you have 3-phase electrical supply available to you?
3-phase machines are usually more powerful and smoother in use. They are usually more expensive to buy new.
Hi Mapalo, I have no idea how much importing/shipping would cost to Zambia from the UK or how long it will take.
You could contact "Weldequip" his link is at the top of the page, if he would be willing to ship a machine to you I don't know, but service back up would definately be a problem!!!
Do you not have suppliers like BOC/EASB/LORCH or there agents you could contact?
Also just out of interest for us, what is in your maxmium total spend on "The machine and shipping to Zambia" in GBP???
