I picked up this Butters machine years ago and only dragged out of the corner of the workshop today. It was missing the wire feed unit, and I'm trying to find some information on what exactly the WFU needs to interface with the main box. There's a 7-pin connector on the front panel which I assume goes to the WFU.
Allowing for the total lack of any fancy digital controls on this I am hoping that there may be a degree of universality in some other makes of WFU and might be able to adapt one to suit. I'm well-versed in repair of motors, generators, and other electrical machines, but always like to have a circuit diagram if possible, before diving in.
From what I see, Butters has a chequered history in recent years - does anyone have a link to a source of Butters manuals, or simply have one
available for download or post?
