I would say the Radial Arm Saw has the potential to be the most dangerous thing I own.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my miter saws now, and buying a wood blade for the horizontal bandsaw.
Maybe a different pulley combined with a treadmill motor/speed controller to get the correct speeds?
I'll still have the RAS for when I want to risk life and limb. (Not really - it's as safe as any power tool when used properly).

Many years ago, when I was still in nursing....
A colleague in A&E had an ambulance turn up with a garageist who had stuck an angle grinder in his neck.
How?
He was working on an engine bay, posed the grinder on the front, left the grinder on, as he stuck his head back in the hole.....
The A&E nurses didn't know what an a angle grinder was, 25 years ago...
They dealt with it obviously.
Then the things you see in A&E...

Never owned a chainsaw.
They terrify me - which means, dangerous or not, they're dangerous to *me*. Because I'd be too scared to use them safely.
9" angry grinder? I don't use it often but I don't think they"re that bad: IF you follow basic safety rules:
don't stand in line with the disc,
only use where you have secure footing,
don't use without guard,
don't twist the blade in the cut,
make sure the workpiece is fastened securely and well supported so the blade doesn't "bind"
If you can't do all of this, then it's the wrong machine for the job.
Saw a man who had a 9" run up his forearm a couple of weeks ago, although there was claret everywhere and we had his arm hoisted up in the air to stop him bleeding out, it had only gone through the skin. Also a lad who impaled his hand on one of those 3 pronged fence spikes, again only flesh wound. Amazing luck some people have unlike the guy in the story (to vaguely get back on topic!)

Yep plenty, but have never had either want to cause me any worries. Almost by design, a Radial Arm Saw is just looking for an excuse to take a bigger bite and lurch towards you.
I need to do a few chainsaw courses to get up to date. 9" its a case of correct positioning for the cut, aligning the guard.

The only dangerous tool in any shop is the one holding a tool.
I've cut 100s of 1000s of feet of timber on drop saws in proper operation there's no way that could happen.

I got my "you know what" caught in a bacon slicer and ended up with two black eyes and a fat lip, she got sacked from the butchers and dumped by her boy friend.

I took the pad off of my left index finger with a knife, one skin graft later and it ended up super sensitive and granulated ( bits come out of it from time to time)40 years later it still plays up. One of the side effects of my quad bypass surgery is numbness down the outside of my thigh, it's easing off but slowly this is 6 months later. Back to saws and other rotating things, I had a 9" grinder skate across the toe ( thankfully steel) of my boot once, gave me the cold shivers. I'm always ultra careful with the things, it only takes one moment of inattention and you've got lumps missing.
