Could something similar be done to the handles to match the colour ish?looks like it might be a nickel or chrome plating, thats the easy bit, is the base metal that may be the issue, looks to be a zinc based alloy (like mazak/zamac)

Have a chat with Badger Anodising in Birmingham. Last time I was up there they'd very successfully matched the colour and texture of some shower trim parts that were previously done in gold leaf (replacements were either aluminium or stainless I can't remember).Could something similar be done to the handles to match the colour ish?
Powder cost maybe an option maybe.
Thanks Ed, I’ll pass it on to him.Have a chat with Badger Anodising in Birmingham. Last time I was up there they'd very successfully matched the colour and texture of some shower trim parts that were previously done in gold leaf (replacements were either aluminium or stainless I can't remember).
They’re not my hands haha. What have you done to your hands?!
I was going to say it looks like a bad chrome plate but its not shiny enough - I am not sure if there is a matt chrome? If originality isn't an issue I think I would speak to a powder coater. They can do some good things now.
I wouldn't even know where to go for small scale plating. I take it the OEM part isn't available anymore?
They’re off a tractor, new ones are no good though by all accounts. Most of the good platers can deal with that nasty alloy stuff now but no chrome/nickel plating is cheap now
