I was talking on the phone with a guy at a kitchen place. He was telling me that there is a 'metal plate' sold by Screw fix/tool station for carcass repairs.
He did not know what this 'plate' was called. It is used as a sort of repair when the holes have ended up too large/damaged where the hinge fits on the carcass, not the actual door.
We were discussing the drilling of the 4.5mm holes for the pair of large headed crosshead screws. Anyone know the name of such an item so I can check it out? I was not given any more detail, so apologise for the scant details.
I don't have a need for such a plate/item at the moment. However, due to someone 'out of control kids' I have repaired loads of carcasses with a 'hard' ratio mixture of car body filler. Not ideal but the best fix I came up with on many occasions.
Thanks.
