Had an email from UK Mail to say they couldn't find the building the parcel was addressed to.
Thing is the adresss was the main office of the landlords of the business estate that the UK mail depot is on. And they virtually drive past it each time they go out !!!

I have used myHermes many times, they have been ok bar a crankshaft I sent to Germany, their terms were they would attempt delivery 3 times and if not delivered return to sender at their cost. They claimed the crankshaft was refused by the customer at his business premises 3 times, I contacted the guy and he had never seen them or even got a card. All attempted deliveries were on the same day twice within 20 minutes and all outwith normal working hours, so they were returning the crankshaft to me at my cost. Then they lost it! Took months to get money back for the crankshaft and they did not refund the postage costs.

That would be when it was loaded into the van at the depot, for the days run, wouldn't it?

We have contracts with most of the couriers - my honest opinion - they are all the same!
95% of problems are down to packaging.

One we often get is - your driver took the wrong parcel/pallet - people need to realise drivers only collect what they are given! They don't wander into a warehouse and help themselves!

We have CCTV/ANPR, its shocking how many times "attempted" delivery has been logged but surprise surprise no one has called, I think at times they just tick the box to buy some extra time, or cover for slackers time off.

DPD have made a hole in a package from Germany then stuck another of their labels over it to cover it up.
Parcel Force have uplifted from the post office and not signed it in at depot.

Hermes no problem with so far, but I do make sure it goes onto their system when I drop them off.
I too go through P2g and pay with PayPal.

All get wrapped well - I know what the inside of a container/curtainside/delivery van looks like when it has had a rough journey!
