I've seen a very reasonably priced Myford ML7 in the freeads and quite fancy having a look at it. Now I'll be totally honest here in a saying that I have never really been near a lathe, other than passing one in school, let alone using one . Now some may think that I'd be completely mad to go out and but something that I dont have a clue how to use but hey its sometimes the best way to learn.
So anyway Im looking for some advice on what to look for when buying a lathe, signs of wear and how to spot them etc. Also if anyone actually has one of these lathes (I'm told they're one of the best "hobby" lathes to have) any advice on them would be great.
