Hi all,
So I’ve been using my late grandfather’s old Myford ML4 lathe for a project I’m doing in my shop. I was winching a rather heavy component from one end of the shop to the other and somehow it came loose and smashed my headstock to smithereens. The bed seems fine but the headstock is completely unusable.
I really need to get this project finished asap and don’t really want to have to buy another lathe unless I really need to. I’ve tried looking online for a replacement headstock and can’t seem to find one. Does anyone a) know of a place/person that might sell one or b) know of another lathe whose headstock is compatible on a ML4 (I know that during the era this thing was built they all matched the same size and weight specs laid out by the government so maybe their headstocks were the same too?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
