went to the Thackery medical museum in leeds today, and the last thing I expected to see there was a myford lathe......the one used by Sir John Charley in his workshop at home that he used in the development of the sockets for replacement hip joints.
I cant remember if its an ML3 or ML4, but I forgot to take a photo of the serial no.etc. looks like its been modified to have an automatic stop for the powerfeed.

so you never know what a man in his shed will come up with....there is an invention in all of us, we just need to make it.
