My works MIG set..how old?

Hello, I'm nearing the end of my third week in my new job and had a quick moment to snap a picture of the old relics of welders we are using there...

They have these sets all over the place, loads of them. Its the supply transformer and gas solenoid unit, whilst the wire feeder is seperate.

It looks ancient and have no idea about them...

does anyone recognise this set?

I burn 1mm MIG wire at 170 amps all day long and the seem to have a never ending duty cycle!

ermm the paint has worn off and it was repainted years ago and worn away haha! all they say is 'f40' on the wire units.

I believe they are Italian , we had a couple at a place I worked at more than 10 or 12 years ago, and they had been around for at least 10 years prior to that, the design hasn't changed much even on the brand new ones

Old machines and tools are the best, - UK/USA or EU made kit was well made and lasts a long time and can be repaired.

The link shows the exact head unit we have there.. gosh, £660 for a head unit?!
