Recently sold this. Was going to post up before that but change of web host meant pics 'in transit' and much hassle.
Start off with one non-running 1st-gen Fat Wing, off the road for 9-10 years. It was the last bike I expected to own, but the idea was to fix 'n flog and make a few squid. But half way through I got to like it and the 'plan' changed.
Didn't drop the engine out due to the quick tart-up idea. Instead it and the frame was cleaned up in situ. Much faff with 2k epoxy primer, straight gloss on the frame and POR20 silver for the engine.
Carbs after a clean-
After full strip/rebuild and paint (loads of parts...)
Later the carbs were fettled to suit free-flow cans and a K&N air filter.
