Stunning photos.Honestly, most offroad trailers are a hindrance if you're planning on overlanding - I had to tow a clients trailer after he burnt out his clutch in his 110 due to overloading the trailer - next to nothing in the vehicle though! We got him back to Spain from Zagora where he had the clutch replaced. (it sort-of drove OK without the trailer on the hitch).
Trailers are great as a group kitchen / store etc. if you can make camp and explore around for a couple of days - but you need a big area to play in and need to be off piste for security of the trailer & contents. Personally, I prefer to keep everything heavy inside and as low as possible, I only put sand ladders / waffle boards and Oztent on the roofrack. I did take one of the ZA trailers through Tunisia into Libya on a recce for later trips, it was a PITA - I mainly used it for the required policeman & guide to sleep in. CoG even running light was too high, it was very unbalanced across the axle - even after shifting things around, which made the back end alternately bog down or lift just when you needed traction....
Worst of all, if you are dragging a trailer, you end up bypassing some of the best bits....

A mate of mine has made a few, based on Sankey chassis' great for greenlaning in UK or Europe, he's never took one on long runs though.
Tue but then they tend to be much bigger & on lorry trailers.Depends on the style of boat.
Nope not at all.Tue but then they tend to be much bigger & on lorry trailers.
Round here its all big rear engine speed boats or bigger fishing stuff.Nope not at all.
No some of the Sankeys could I believe. They were trialled behind 101’s amongst others. Discontinued because of you got the trailer at 90deg to the truck and put the power on it could have you over. I have it in a book somewhere but I’ll see if I can find it online……DId I dream it - I seem to recall as kid reading about Land Rover trailers with the wheels driven from the rear pto?

Rubery-Owen, not sankey
there is a Swedish version on YouTube in production
Dunno but all the anorak sites mention rollovers or cost. Nothing else.I was told that the 101 power trailer was dropped due the the trials where they actually forgot to fit the pto & it still completed all the tasks.
Not with one of those.Wake boarding?
