They are 75mm long, the deeper one, 12mm, is 6mm thick, the shallower, 8mm, is 5mm. The pins don't rotate. They look and feel like they are attachments for a measuring tool. No markings on them anywhere.

Thanks. Yes, it's a letter opener. Probably made as a promo item for my grandfather's company, he was the Nibbs in Nibbs and Scott.

So when you stab someone you know how deep it went in. You can then genuinely argue that it's just a flesh wound etc...
