This is my second project it's a trailer hitch for my atv so I can use the recivers off my truck. I couldn't take any pics of my welds on the trailer because we got alot of snow and I wasn't shovling it out, so I thought you could get an idea from the welds on this. tell me what you think. I also welded both sides because it's a trailer hitch wanted the extra strength so you can't see the penetration.

I'm just starting myself so I can't comment to much but its better than I can do. 
good looking welds
These fillet welds look great. No blobs, nice smooth weld toes (edge of weld beads) and relatively flat. Nice consistent layer after layer - shows a lot of practice and a steady hand. You must be using argoshield.
Better than mine! (I use CO2 pub gas). Well done.

Just as a side matter mate...what is the climate for engineering jobs like in Canada at the moment...the good lady and I are going to attend a few of the emigration shows that are run over here this year, and Canada does seem to be my wifes destination of choice, I am a time served machinist who has spent most of my 16 years on CNC based machinery. Was looking at proerty around the Hamilton area over the Christmas period [on the internet] because I thought it seemed to be quite indusrialised in that area...was I way off [would not be the first time...
]...altough the wife also likes the idea of BC...but not sure about my chances of employment on the west coast...but the idea of being nearer to Whistler does hold a bit of weight...

Hamilton is very industrial, probally one of the biggest industial areas in Ontario. I'm not sure if this is true because I've never been out to BC but there suppose to make more money out west then they do in central canada and on the east cost, It has very beautiful mountains and I have heard an awsome place to live. overall I dont think you can go wrong living anywhere in Canada. I hope this helps.
