i will keep it up, got a few things up my sleeve at the moment. the biggest problem is sorting through all the bull, ive done quite alot of research on my projects and gained alot from actually doing them, and its pathetic the actuall ammount of bull thats out there.

the ring gear is steel, and the body of the fly wheel is cast.
For production cars. I doub whether any will be other thab cast iron - that's why I was urging caution re radical lightening efforts.
I never did anything other than basic lightening on flywheels, it only affects transients and not max power numbers after all. A thorough dynamic balance is always the bet bet.
