Hi all
I thought I would post my new to me very little used and clean Myford ML10 lathe serial number points manufactured about 1988, I came with quite a few accessories including a four jaw chuck, two three jaw chucks one being a Pratt Bernard grip true, Rotagrip selling them for £719.00 , I didn’t pay much more than that for the lot, all 100mm, tailstock die holders Jacob drill chuck, set of change wheels ,faceplate, angle plate and other bits & bobs.
As I haven’t got the room to keep both the Myford & the Pultra I needed to be able to do on the Myford what I had been doing on the Pultra, ( much more hopefully) I needed some other accessories, I managed to get hold of both genuine fixed & travelling steadies for £110 normally just the travelling steady is more than £150 , also found an as new genuine swivel milling slide for £75, a original Myford to ER collet Chuck, purchased a set of ER25 collets, sensitive drill with MT2 arbor to locate into tailstock, a few other bits because nothing from the Pultra will fit the new lathe.
The only thing that concerns me is that it only had the Dewhurst forward/ stop/ reverse switch there was no way to stop the lathe in an emergency ( heaven forbid ) so as I was going to upgrade to variable speed later I thought it was a waste of money adding an emergency stop button then upgrade later so I decided to upgrade from the off so I have ordered the full kit from Newton Tesla ( it’s already setup and is a straight swap plug and play) and hopefully last but not least I have ordered a QCTP from PeWe tools and tangential tool holders from eccentric engineering in Australia.
I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT NOW
Good job I sold the Pultra.
