Wish I could find a proper anvil shy of £50.00
And the ones with a slap of hammerite well upwards

Mine would need a gallon of filler as well..

That saw needs to be in my garage, not that I would give in much to do.

Well Im off to cut another bit the longer bit im gonna do the anvil and the small bit same plan as yesterday, use it like in the metal shaping dvd.
180mm long then polish after holidays.
ummmm cant wait, i know its sad.

Todays cut was ramped up as the blade was already run in from yesterday and look perfect spring coils, no chips or burning marks.
Significant decrease in cut time as well and should enhance the work life of the blade as the teeth have now been work hardened.

Cut to 180mm all deburred and when I get back from holiday itll be attacked with my grinder and a flap disc.

theres a 8 foot length next to the track right near the road where i live even the scrappys havent pinched it its 2 heavy . or i would have had it

There was a few lengths of track about 30' long at the side of the road next to a level crossing near me, they were there for about 6 months taunting me (and probably every pikey for miles around) I've been after a piece of rail track for years to use as a dolly.

That appears to be their sole purpose. Looking at the shape of that track, it's not hard to see why. I bet that could be like trying to hold a greased pig, if trying to carry it with oily hands.

Depending on the bandsaws bow weight and pitch of blade it should be ok.
It will be pushing the limit though I would've thought.
Blade speed about 50-55metres/minute.
You might need to hang some weights from the edge of the bow to help it.

be quicker to do it with a grinding disk and then finish off with a flexidisk

I'd finish it with a belt sander it'll help keep it flat.
