Has the machine got a tailstock? I assume you took it off to load the lathe in your van?

Yes it has a tailstock and yes I removed for loading. I have another addition for it tomorrow

Some of you may have seen my post about getting all these bits but I decided to clean up the four jaw .

Stripped it all down abviously, Fully degreased in a bucket off it. Then I put it in Acid and using some elbow grease I got it cleaned up.

I am more than happy with it. It's no show pony but it'll do the job when I get my lathe in place. I may do the 3 jaw and the other bits now

It’s WD40. I got fed up with the stupid WD bottles leaking that come with a 5l tub. These have worked perfect

No I never really bothered. I get too shy.

It was my Femi bandsaw. And I guess so. Just I’m not overly confident with a camera pointing at me. I have thought about doing more but I’ll see.

No it’s very clean. One of the threaded adjusters needs replacing annoyingly though. Someone’s been a bit silly with bar or something and it’s bell mouthed it and put some small splits in it. It’ll work but when I can find one I’ll replace it

And the rest. People telling you that you ought to be greasing acme screws because they’ve seen someone else do it. Grease where no grease is needed annoys me enough in real life, to have some random from the Internet tell me my practice is wrong just adds insult to injury!

Tell me about it. My Harrison Mill is riddled with it. Degreaser. Blowgun. Pipecleaners. Rifle brushes. Dynamite.
